My letter of support really went down to the wire. I think I may have narrowly avoided an incomplete by the skin of my teeth. Do as I say, not as I do?
Now to pick out an appropriate gift.

I hope all of you have been recovering nicely from the little hiccup that occurred during an otherwise ducky breakfast service a few mornings ago. Dreadfully violent things, bludgers! However, it is my understanding that most, if not all of them have been removed from the corridors by now and all that remains are one or two rogue snitches. As they present no immediate physical threat to any of the students, use of a prefect escort to and from classes will be highly unnecessary. They have the potential to become a greater nuisance as the end of semester draws near, so please continue to be vigilant and if you see something, say something. Or even better, stun something! And return it to flying instructor so that we may replenish our balls. They are due for a vigorous polishing.
Speaking of stunning, I am sure you will all look absolutely stunning come the twentieth, when the Charms Club (led by Olive Hornby) will be hosting a Christmas dance for everybody to enjoy before we break for the holidays! Do you have a set of dress robes set-aside for the occasion, and a special someone in mind to ask to be your date? It would be prudent to act now in order to avoid further distraction in the coming weeks. If the start of December is any indication, we are in for a very eventful month.
WARDED TO SEVENTH YEAR HUFFLEPUFF GIRLS
Does anyone know anything about Ignatius Prewett that I couldn't read about? I have him for Hardkiss' assignment and I haven't said more than three words to him since I met him six years ago. Besides, what do you even get a Prewett that they don't already have ten of?
